Governor Oyebanji Advocates for Economic Collaboration at CIS Investiture
Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to engaging with key economic players to create opportunities and reduce poverty. Speaking at the investiture ceremony of the 13th President and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS), Mr. Oluropo Dada, in Lagos, the Governor emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships for economic development.
Governor Oyebanji congratulated Mr. Dada, an indigene of Ekiti State, on his new role and expressed confidence in his ability to lead the institute to new heights. He called for robust collaboration between the CIS and the Ekiti State government to leverage economic opportunities for the state’s citizens.
Highlighting the administration’s initiatives to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Governor Oyebanji mentioned the establishment of business incubators, provision of low-interest loans, and investment in critical infrastructure. These measures aim to empower entrepreneurs and stimulate economic growth.
The Governor praised Mr. Dada’s exemplary leadership and professional excellence, describing his investiture as a proud moment for Ekiti State. He assured the CIS President of his support and encouraged continuous engagement between the public and private sectors to achieve sustainable development goals.
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Ropo Dada expressed gratitude to the CIS members for their confidence in him. He committed to advancing the stockbroking profession and contributing to Nigeria’s economic development. He also acknowledged the support from his family, colleagues, and the people of Ekiti State.
Former President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), who chaired the event, commended the seamless leadership transition within the CIS. He urged other professional bodies to emulate this smooth process and thanked Governor Oyebanji for his unwavering support for Ekiti citizens excelling in their fields.
