Governor Oyebanji Rallies Support for New Obalodo of Oye Kingdom

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, has congratulated Hon. Bamitale Oguntoyinbo on his installation as the new Obalodo of Oye Kingdom. Represented by Deputy Governor Chief Monisade Afuye at a Thanksgiving Service held at Saint Michael’s Anglican Church, Oye Ekiti, Governor Oyebanji called on the people of Oye Ekiti to unite in support of their new leader.

The Governor urged Obalodo Oguntoyinbo to prioritize peace, love, and the development of the community. “Your new role is an opportunity to advance unity and foster the growth of Oye Ekiti,” the Governor’s representative stated.

Former Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Professor Modupe Adelabu, echoed this sentiment, advising the Obalodo to prioritize the well-being and progress of the community. Similarly, Eyesorun of Ado Ekiti, Olori Abosede Adejugbe, prayed for divine wisdom for the Obalodo to lead effectively.

In his sermon, Bishop Isaac Olubowale of the Diocese of Ekiti Oke described the Obalodo’s ascension as a divine call to serve humanity and promote unity. The Bishop commended Chief Oguntoyinbo for his reputation as a generous and upright leader, urging him to make a positive impact on the people of Oye Ekiti.

Chief Oguntoyinbo, accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Omotola Teniola, expressed gratitude to all who contributed to his successful installation. He pledged to prioritize the restoration of the culture and traditions of Oye Ekiti while fostering development.

The event was attended by dignitaries, including Senator Ayo Arise and leaders of the Oye Progressives Union.
