Governor Oyebanji Reinforces Ban on Use of Public School Premises for Social Events

Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State has restated the state government’s ban on using public school premises for social events, emphasizing the need to preserve educational facilities for learning. Speaking at the Ikogosi Day celebration, Governor Oyebanji underscored his commitment to safeguarding school infrastructure and creating a conducive learning environment.
During the celebrations, held on private grounds to honor this policy, Governor Oyebanji stressed, “Our schools are for education, and preserving these spaces is essential for the future of our children.” He called on local leaders and school heads to uphold the directive, reflecting his administration’s dedication to sustainable infrastructure development and educational progress.
Governor Oyebanji also used the occasion to highlight the state’s commitment to community development, announcing the launch of a N1 billion development fund for Ikogosi. Dignitaries, including Ekiti’s First Lady Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji and other esteemed guests, applauded the governor’s vision for a vibrant, education-focused Ekiti State.
