Governor Radda Strengthens Katsina’s Economic Future Through Strategic Capital Market Collaboration

The Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX Group) has reaffirmed its commitment to driving subnational economic growth by hosting Katsina State Governor, Dr. Dikko Umar Radda, in a strategic meeting aimed at expanding capital market opportunities for the state. The visit marked a significant milestone in advancing Katsina’s Development Plan, with a focus on investment mobilization, infrastructure expansion, and financial inclusion.

Welcoming Governor Radda, Alhaji (Dr.) Umaru Kwairanga, Group Chairman of NGX Group, commended his administration’s proactive economic policies, particularly its emphasis on long-term financing for critical projects. He stated, “The capital market serves as a vital enabler for financing industrialization, infrastructure, and sustainable development, aligning perfectly with Katsina State’s strategic roadmap.”

Governor Radda, in his remarks, emphasized the state’s dedication to leveraging capital market instruments such as Sukuk bonds, infrastructure bonds, and green bonds to attract investments and create economic opportunities. “By deepening our engagement with the capital market, we can unlock funding for transformative projects, drive industrialization, and boost employment,” he affirmed.

Further reinforcing NGX Group’s commitment, Group Managing Director/CEO, Temi Popoola, highlighted the Exchange’s drive to enhance market accessibility, attract capital, and create new investment opportunities through innovation and technology. NGX CEO, Jude Chiemeka, also reiterated the Exchange’s readiness to provide market-driven financial solutions to help Katsina State achieve its development goals.

The meeting concluded with a Closing Gong Ceremony, symbolizing the beginning of a strategic partnership focused on unlocking investment opportunities, fostering financial inclusion, and driving sustainable economic growth in Katsina State.
