Governor Sani Engages Development Partners at North West Governors’ Forum

Governor Uba Sani joined fellow leaders at the North West Governors’ Forum meeting, where strategic partnerships with development agencies took center stage in addressing the critical challenges facing the region.
The high-profile meeting, attended by United Nations Deputy Secretary-General, Hajia Amina J. Mohammed, featured presentations from UN agencies and the African Development Bank (AfDB) on various development programs. Special focus was placed on the National Agricultural Growth Scheme (NAGS) and the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones Program (SAP-Z), with Kaduna identified as one of the key beneficiaries of the SAP-Z initiative.
One of the key highlights of the forum was the appointment of Hajia Maryam Musa as the substantive Director General of the North West Governors’ Forum, tasked with coordinating development initiatives and liaising with international agencies to drive impactful projects.
Governor Sani reaffirmed Kaduna’s commitment to regional cooperation and innovative governance, emphasizing the importance of strategic alliances to foster economic growth, security, and agricultural transformation.
