Governor Sani Strengthens Kaduna’s Development Goals with New Mutual Accountability Framework

In a bold move to consolidate Kaduna State’s achievements in governance, health, and education, Governor Uba Sani has signed the new Kaduna Mutual Accountability Framework (KaMAF) in partnership with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).
The signing ceremony, attended by FCDO Development Director Cynthia Rowe, reaffirmed the UK Government’s confidence in Kaduna State’s commitment to impactful governance reforms. Speaking at the event, Rowe expressed optimism about the seamless implementation of KaMAF, highlighting key areas such as climate change governance and smart agriculture as priorities in the framework.
Governor Sani emphasized that the state recorded significant milestones under the previous KaMAF, particularly in Public Financial Management (PFM), health system strengthening, and education sector reforms. The FCDO’s continued support has been instrumental in driving strategic policy development, ensuring accountability and measurable progress.
“This new framework will guide our administration in monitoring concrete reforms that promote good governance, economic recovery, social protection, and human capital development,” Governor Sani stated. He expressed profound gratitude to the FCDO for prioritizing Kaduna State and strengthening a partnership that is yielding tangible benefits for the citizens.
The signing of KaMAF represents another step forward in Kaduna State’s commitment to progressive governance, reinforcing its status as a leading state in Nigeria’s development landscape.
