Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fostering public-private partnerships in education, stating that collaboration is key to building a robust and inclusive educational ecosystem in the state.

The Governor made this statement during his visit to Charterhouse Lagos, a premier educational institution in Ogombo, where he toured its ultra-modern facilities and engaged directly with students and school leaders.

Describing Charterhouse as “a model for learner-centred excellence,” Sanwo-Olu commended the institution for placing student welfare at the core of its vision. “This is what transformative education looks like—where every detail serves the child,” he said.

He further praised the private sector’s investment in education, stating, “We must continue to complement each other—public and private sectors—in delivering quality education across the board.”

Charterhouse Lagos officials, including Director of Education John Todd and Chief Operations Officer Angela Hencher, expressed their appreciation for the Governor’s support. They reiterated the school’s mission to cultivate global-minded, character-driven leaders and pledged to remain partners in the state’s broader education transformation.

The Governor was accompanied by top state officials and community leaders, marking the visit as a key moment in the continued integration of excellence, innovation, and policy leadership in Lagos’ educational future.
