Governor Sanwo-Olu Urges Christian Leaders to Pray for National Leadership

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has called on Christian leaders to continue praying for President Bola Tinubu and other leaders as they work towards Nigeria’s economic and social recovery.
The governor’s message was delivered by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mrs. Abimbola Salu-Hundeyin, at the 2025 Inter-Denominational Divine Service, organized by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Lagos Chapter, at The Apostolic Church Convention Grounds.
With the theme “Total Restoration” (Joel 2:25), the service emphasized God’s promise of restoration and national healing, aligning with President Tinubu’s “Budget of Restoration” for 2025.
Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed gratitude to religious leaders for their prayers and urged them to remain steadfast in interceding for the nation.
“We must continue to seek God’s guidance for Nigeria’s leaders, praying for successful governance and national transformation,” he said.
CAN Chairman, Bishop Stephen Adegbite, declared 2025 as the “Year of Total Restoration”, encouraging Nigerians to remain hopeful despite challenges, while Rev. Adegbite assured that Nigeria will experience growth, prosperity, and uncommon success in the coming year.
