Governor Sule Honored with Agriculture Technology Trailblazer Award for Advancing Food Security
Governor Abdullahi A. Sule of Nasarawa State has been recognized with the prestigious Agricultural Technology Trailblazer Award by the Aflatoxin-Free Agro Producers of Nigeria (AAFPPON) for his outstanding contributions to food safety, food security, and agricultural innovation.
The award was presented at the AAFPPON National Feast of Honours and Awards 2024, held at the National Merit House, Abuja. The Governor, represented by his Director General of Strategic Communication, Yakubu Lamai, was commended for his commitment to mechanized agriculture, the statewide distribution of tractors, and the facilitation of the Agricultural Machinery Equipment Development Institute (AMEDI) in Lafia. His 10,000-hectare rice farm project in Jangwa was also highlighted as a transformative initiative for boosting agricultural productivity.
Speaking on behalf of the Governor, DG Lamai reaffirmed Governor Sule’s unwavering commitment to poverty reduction, food safety, and agricultural development, ensuring that Nasarawa remains a leader in agricultural mechanization and food sufficiency.
