Governor Sule Meets World Bank Task Team Leader on NG-CARES Expansion

Governor Abdullahi A. Sule has met with Dr. Lire Ersado, the Task Team Leader of NG-CARES at the World Bank, to discuss the progress and future direction of the initiative in Nasarawa State.
The meeting, held at the Nasarawa Governor’s Lodge in Abuja, was attended by Umar Ibrahim Dahiru, State Coordinator/CEO of NG-CARES in Nasarawa.
Dr. Ersado commended Nasarawa State’s exceptional performance under NG-CARES, stating that the state serves as a reference point for effective implementation of social protection programs in Nigeria.
“The results from Nasarawa State under NG-CARES are truly commendable. As we move into the next phase, we will focus on consolidating these gains, ensuring that the benefits of the program continue to reach those who need them the most,” he said.
Governor Sule reiterated his administration’s commitment to sustaining and expanding the impact of NG-CARES, particularly in poverty alleviation, economic resilience, and social welfare programs.
