Governor Sule Moves Mining Oversight to Governor’s Office to Strengthen Investment Opportunities

In a strategic move to enhance mining sector governance, Governor Abdullahi Sule has relocated mining oversight from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources to the Governor’s Office, where it will be managed under a Special Adviser.
The Governor announced the decision while inaugurating Princess Margaret Elayo as the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Humanitarian Services, alongside the Chairman and members of the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
Governor Sule emphasized that this move aligns with his administration’s commitment to maximizing Nasarawa’s vast mining potential and ensuring seamless operations for investors.
“The reallocation of mining oversight to the Governor’s Office will facilitate better coordination and attract more investors, positioning Nasarawa as a major hub for mineral resource development,” he stated.
Additionally, Governor Sule tasked the new TSC leadership with restoring the commission’s integrity, following past irregularities in teacher recruitment.
With this move, Nasarawa is set to strengthen its investment climate, attract new opportunities, and boost economic growth.
