GOVERNOR UMARU BAGO ATTENDS WEDDING FATIHA, CELEBRATES MARRIAGE OF NIGER STATE CHIEF JUDGE’S SON AND OTHERS
In a show of unity and goodwill, Niger State Governor, His Excellency, Mohammed Umaru Bago, affectionately known as the “Farmer Governor,” joined other dignitaries to attend the wedding fatiha of Mustapha Ibrahim Abdulmalik and Mardiyya Sirajo Dan Alkali, as well as Bashir Yahaya Abdullahi and Sabila. The weddings were held at the Jumma’at Mosque in Bosso Estate, following the congregational Jumma’at prayer, and were jointly conducted by Imam Farouk Umar, the Director-General of Niger State’s Bureau for Religious Affairs.
Mustapha Ibrahim Abdulmalik is the son of Niger State’s esteemed Chief Judge, Justice Halima Abdulmalik, and Alhaji Ibrahim Abdulmalik, the former Permanent Secretary of General Services, while Bashir Yahaya Abdullahi is the son of Senator Yahaya Abdullahi Argungu, representing Kebbi North in the Senate.
Governor Bago, a known advocate for peace and unity, shared heartfelt advice with the couples, urging them to embrace mutual understanding, patience, and peace in their marriages. The Governor also offered prayers for Allah’s blessings on the newlyweds, reaffirming his commitment to fostering harmony and love within the community.
The event saw the attendance of other notable figures, including the Governor of Kebbi State, Comrade Nasir Idris; Deputy Governor of Niger State, Comrade Yakubu Garba; Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin; Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, representing Niger East; and Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, alongside other serving lawmakers and past Governors.
Governor Bago, together with his Kebbi State counterpart, also attended the reception for Bashir and Sabila, where he once again congratulated the couple and expressed his support for their future together. He prayed for their continued happiness and prosperity in their union.
The event was a reflection of the Governor’s commitment to strengthening ties among states, as well as his dedication to promoting unity and positive relationships across communities. Furthermore, another son of the Niger State Chief Judge, Yahaya Ibrahim Abdulmalik, also celebrated his wedding to Saffiya Isah Dutse in Kano State, further adding to the joyful occasions in the region.
