Governor Uzodimma Expands Rural Healthcare with Flag-Off of Ultra-Modern Hospitals Across Imo

Governor Hope Uzodimma has launched the construction of a 20-bed ultra-modern hospital in Umuorji, Egbema, Ohaji-Egbema LGA, marking a bold step toward equitable healthcare access for rural communities in Imo State. Represented by the Managing Director of ISOPADEC, Chief Austin Onyedebelu, the Governor reiterated his administration’s resolve to provide free and accessible healthcare through state-sponsored health insurance.
The hospital in Egbema is one of several similar projects being executed simultaneously in Ideato South, Isiala Mbano, and Nwangele LGAs, symbolizing the administration’s people-first philosophy. Traditional rulers, local government chairmen, and stakeholders present at the ceremonies expressed appreciation for the Governor’s inclusive approach to governance and pledged full support for the speedy completion of the facilities.
Beyond the bricks and mortar, the initiative reinforces Governor Uzodimma’s vision of healthcare as a fundamental right.
