Governor Uzodimma Strengthens Oil-Producing Communities with ISOPADEC Board Inauguration

In a bold step toward equitable development in Imo State’s oil-producing areas, Governor Hope Uzodimma has inaugurated the new Board of the Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC). The newly constituted board is charged with driving infrastructural development, enhancing social amenities, and implementing economic empowerment initiatives that will uplift the lives of residents in oil-producing communities.

At the swearing-in ceremony, Governor Uzodimma underscored the importance of transparency, accountability, and efficiency in delivering sustainable projects that directly benefit the people. He expressed confidence in the board’s ability to serve with dedication and commitment.

The new ISOPADEC board is chaired by Prof. Eze Dele Odigbo, with Chief Austin Onyedebelu as Managing Director. Other members include Hon. Cassidy Ohamara, Hon. Nkeiru Ihesie, Dr. Nina Mba, Hon. Ijeoma Joy Ikegwuruka, Mrs. Esther Enoch, Hon. Bernard Nwanana, Chief Valentine Okere, Hon. Ify Obi, and Chief Kelechi Onuoha.

Governor Uzodimma emphasized that his administration remains focused on ensuring that oil-producing communities receive their fair share of development projects, empowering residents, and fostering economic progress.
