Governor Uzodimma Urges Corps Members to Drive Development in Education and Health

Governor Hope Uzodimma has called on National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members deployed to Imo State to champion development through impactful projects in education, healthcare, and infrastructure in their host communities. The Governor made this appeal during the debriefing of the 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream I corps members at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Eziama Obaire, Nkwerre.
Represented by the Commissioner for Youth Development and Talent Hunt, Dr. Mandela Ukaegbu, Governor Uzodimma reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting corps members through resource mobilization, welfare programs, and enabling environments for their community projects.
Security was also top of the agenda, as Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, assured corps members of robust protection throughout their service year. The NYSC State Coordinator, Mr. Evans Okwor, encouraged corps members to take full advantage of the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) program and contribute meaningfully to societal progress. The event concluded with a renewed pledge by the state government and security agencies to ensure corps members thrive safely and productively in Imo.
