Governor Yahaya Sets Up Comprehensive Ramadan Palliative Distribution Committees
Ahead of the commencement of Ramadan, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has reinforced his administration’s commitment to citizens’ welfare by appointing key officials to oversee the 2025 Ramadan Palliative Distribution across Gombe State.
The Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, announced the governor’s approval, emphasizing that the initiative aims to ensure the smooth and transparent distribution of relief materials to residents during the holy month.
The structure of the 2025 Ramadan Palliative Distribution Committees includes:
• State Coordinator: Rt. Hon. Abubakar Mohammed Luggerewo
• Local Government Coordinators: Representatives from each of the 11 LGAs
• Ward Committees: Comprising ward chairmen, councilors, representatives of traditional and religious institutions, civil society groups, and key community stakeholders
These committees will work closely to guarantee that the palliatives reach those most in need. The formal inauguration of the committees is scheduled for tomorrow at 3:00 PM at the SSG’s Conference Hall, Government House, marking another step in Governor Yahaya’s unwavering support for the people of Gombe.
