Independence Day: “There Will Be Light at the End of the Tunnel” –  Governor Bago

In his Independence Day message, Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago expressed optimism that Nigeria’s current challenges are surmountable, assuring citizens that “there will be light at the end of the tunnel.” He acknowledged the country’s economic difficulties but emphasized that governments at all levels are making concerted efforts to alleviate the suffering of Nigerians and stabilize the economy.

Governor Bago encouraged Nigerians to focus on the positives, such as God’s blessings and the importance of national unity. He reassured the people of Niger State that his administration is committed to securing lives and improving livelihoods under the “New Niger” agenda, which aims to bring prosperity to the region.

Meanwhile, the Niger State Police Command has deployed personnel and operational resources to ensure public safety and order during the Independence Day celebrations. Commissioner of Police CP Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman instructed officers to maintain enhanced visibility to prevent any disruption of public peace.
