The Jigawa State Ministry for Local Government and Community Development has launched a program to distribute essential drugs to vulnerable families across the state. The initiative, which began with three ward health clinics in each local government area (LGA), now expands to cover an additional three wards per LGA, reaching a total of six wards in every LGA.

The program aims to provide access to essential drugs for under-five children, pregnant mothers, elderly persons, retired civil servants, orphans, people living with disabilities (PWD), people living with HIV, and those with sickle cell disorder. This initiative is part of the state government’s commitment to ensuring that all citizens have access to quality healthcare services.

During the program’s launch, Commissioner for Local Government and Community Development, Hon. Ahmed Garba MK, emphasized the state government’s dedication to supporting vulnerable families in Jigawa State. He assured that the program would continue to expand, reaching more families in need and improving health outcomes across the state.
