“Join Hands With Uzodimma to Keep Imo Safe” – Youth Commissioner Rallies Stakeholders at Security Summit

In a compelling call for collective action, the Imo State Commissioner for Youth Development and Talent Hunt, Dr. Emeka Mandela Ukaegbu, has urged young people to unite with Governor Hope Uzodimma’s administration and security agencies to combat insecurity and promote peace. He made this passionate appeal during the “Imo Youth Stakeholders Security Summit” held at Rockview Hotels, Owerri, on May 9, 2025.
The summit gathered youth representatives from all autonomous communities, pressure groups, and security chiefs across Imo State. Dr. Ukaegbu praised the participants’ active involvement and emphasized that youth engagement is a powerful tool in maintaining peace. “The safety of our state rests in your hands. Say something when you see something,” he declared, unveiling the summit’s central slogan.
Highlighting Governor Uzodimma’s commitment to youth development, Dr. Ukaegbu referenced impactful initiatives such as One Youth, Two Skills, Skill-Up Imo, and the National Youth Investment Fund. He commended the Governor for establishing a dedicated ministry for youth and talent development, noting that it reflects Uzodimma’s vision to harness the energy and creativity of young people to drive peace, progress, and prosperity in Imo State.
