Kaduna Government Deepens Women Empowerment Through Strategic Partnerships

The Kaduna State Government, under the leadership of Governor Uba Sani, has reaffirmed its commitment to women’s economic empowerment through a high-level engagement with representatives from Dev-Afrique Development Advisors. The meeting was hosted by the Commissioner for Business Innovation and Technology as part of efforts to implement the National Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) Policy at the state level.
Funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s WEE Catalyst Fund and supported by the Albright Stonebridge Group (ASG), the initiative aims to tackle systemic barriers to women’s economic participation. The policy targets key issues such as access to finance, vocational training, digital skills, and entrepreneurship opportunities.
The Honourable Commissioner praised Dev-Afrique’s grassroots approach and reiterated the state’s resolve to build inclusive economic systems. He emphasized that the partnership aligns perfectly with Governor Sani’s vision to leverage innovation and policy to unlock economic opportunities for women and promote sustainable development across Kaduna State.
