Katsina State Upgrades Zango Health Facility to General Hospital with N450 Million Investment

In a major boost to healthcare deliveryGovernor Dikko Umar Radda’s administration has allocated N450 million for the upgrade of Zango Comprehensive Health Centre (CHC) into a General Hospital. This transformation aims to expand access to quality medical services, particularly for communities near the border.

During a media tour by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Council Chairman, Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu, highlighted the state’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure, noting that additional funds would be allocated to compensate property owners affected by the hospital expansion.

Aliyu praised Governor Radda’s leadership, emphasizing that Katsina’s investment in healthcare upgrades is a crucial step toward strengthening medical facilities across the state. He added that Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) are also undergoing renovations, with improvements including staff quarters, fencing, clean water, sanitation, and electricity.

Similarly, Chairman of Baure Local Government, Alhaji Murtala Adamu, confirmed the successful renovation of PHCs in Baure, Babban Mutum, and Muduri, further enhancing grassroots healthcare access.

Residents have hailed the state government’s efforts, with Jummai Kabir, a mother from Muduri, expressing gratitude for the improved healthcare services for women and children.

Governor Radda’s strategic healthcare investments reinforce his administration’s commitment to prioritizing public health, reducing healthcare disparities, and ensuring quality medical services across Katsina State.
