Kebbi APC Gains Momentum as Three Senators Join Party Under Governor Idris’ Leadership

The Kebbi State House of Assembly has congratulated Governor Nasir Idris and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the defection of three prominent senators from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling party—marking a significant political milestone in the state.
In a statement issued by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Usman Zuru, the lawmakers praised the move as a major boost for the APC, describing it as a “testament to the Governor’s visionary leadership and the growing appeal of the party’s developmental agenda.” The defecting senators are Senator Muhammad Adamu Aliero (Kebbi Central), Senator Yahaya Abdullahi (Kebbi North), and Senator Garba Musa Maidoki (Kebbi South).
Speaker Zuru emphasized that the senators’ decision to align with the APC reflects their confidence in Governor Idris’ administration and its progressive governance. He assured the Governor of the Assembly’s continued collaboration in implementing policies that promote economic growth and social welfare, noting that the defection further strengthens grassroots support and solidifies APC’s influence in Kebbi.
