Kebbi State Government Commends NEMA’s Disaster Relief Efforts

The Kebbi State Government has expressed deep appreciation to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) for its timely interventions in supporting residents during disasters and emergencies.
Speaking at the Cabinet Office in Birnin Kebbi, Deputy Governor Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida, who represented Governor Nasir Idris, acknowledged NEMA’s swift response in assisting flood victims last season in collaboration with the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA).
“Kebbi State deeply values NEMA’s intervention. Under Governor Idris’ leadership, we have launched multiple empowerment and relief initiatives to improve the lives of our people,” Senator Tafida stated. “We remain committed to supporting our residents and working closely with NEMA to provide essential relief.”
NEMA’s Director of Special Services, Hajiya Fatima Hassan, commended the Kebbi State Government’s collaboration, announcing that the agency will commence relief material distribution in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday.
“The support from Governor Idris has been instrumental in ensuring effective disaster response and recovery,” she stated, praising the significant developmental strides achieved by the state administration.
