Kogi Information Commissioner Advocates for Increased Budget Allocation

The Ministry of Information and Communications in Kogi State, led by Commissioner Hon. Kingsley Fanwo, has called on the State House of Assembly to allocate adequate resources for effective public awareness of government policies and programs.
Represented by Permanent Secretary Mr. Ebenezer Adurodija during the ministry’s 2025 Budget Defence session, Fanwo emphasized the importance of disseminating accurate information to enhance public engagement and feedback. He urged the Assembly to provide sufficient funding for the ministry to fulfill its mandate efficiently.
House Committee Chairman on Information, Hon. Prince Bode Ogunmola, commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his exceptional performance and pledged the House’s continued support for government initiatives. Ogunmola assured the ministry of the legislature’s cooperation to ensure successful implementation of its activities.
The budget defense session, attended by key ministry officials and representatives from the Graphics Newspaper and Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, highlights the administration’s commitment to strengthening public communication for effective governance.
