Kogi State Government Commits to Empowering the Entertainment Industry for Progress

The Kogi State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing the entertainment industry, recognizing its potential to foster peace and progress for the state’s residents.

During a recent meeting with the Igala Performing Gospel Musicians Association (IPGMA), Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo emphasized the importance of supporting the entertainment sector as a vital component of community development. He highlighted that the growth of the entertainment industry can significantly contribute to stability and advancement within Kogi State.

The President of IPGMA, Evangelist Joseph Jacob, praised Governor Ododo and his Deputy, Comrade Joel Salifu, for their dedication to serving the people. Reverend Elijah Abalaka also underscored the need for government support in providing quality instruments to the Association, stating that such assistance is crucial for their journey to greatness.

This renewed focus on the entertainment industry aligns with the Kogi State Government’s strategy to utilize music and art as vehicles for promoting peace, unity, and progress among its residents. The Governor, represented by his Deputy, Comrade Joel Salifu Oyibo, reiterated the government’s commitment to bolstering the entertainment sector for the betterment of the state and its people.

The meeting marked a significant step towards harnessing the talents of Kogi’s entertainers and ensuring their contributions to the cultural and economic development of the state.
