The Kogi State Government has unveiled a comprehensive entrepreneurial ecosystem, designed to strengthen MSMEs, promote financial inclusion, and accelerate sustainable economic development.

This initiative was highlighted during the 2025 Kogi State MSME and Financial Inclusion Conference, held at the Government House in Lokoja.

Declaring the conference open on behalf of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, Deputy Governor, Comrade Joel Salifu, underscored the critical role of youth entrepreneurship in driving economic transformation. He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to creating opportunities for business expansion and employment generation.

Governor Ododo emphasized that his government is working closely with banks, microfinance institutions, and fintech firms to ensure affordable and innovative financial services are accessible across the state.

A key highlight of the event was the issuance of 10,000 free Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) certificates to small business owners—a major milestone that will enhance financial inclusion and formalize businesses for greater economic impact.

The Commissioner for Commerce & Industry, Hon. Muhammed Muktar Shuaibu, commended Governor Ododo for championing policies that position Kogi as a rising economic hub.

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting MSMEs by providing an enabling environment, financial incentives, and strategic partnerships, ensuring that small businesses not only survive but thrive.

The conference marks a significant step toward unlocking economic opportunities, empowering entrepreneurs, and fostering inclusive prosperity in Kogi State.
