Kwara and IHS to Create 10,000 Jobs Through Ilorin Innovation Hub

In a groundbreaking initiative to boost employment and technological advancement, Kwara State Government and IHS Nigeria have unveiled the Ilorin Innovation Hub, an ecosystem designed to foster digital skills, artificial intelligence, agritech, and energy innovation.

The 13,000-square-meter facility will accommodate over 1,000 users, serving as a launchpad for young entrepreneurs and tech-driven businesses.

At the kickoff event, IHS Nigeria CEO, Mohamad Darwish, highlighted the partnership’s significance, stating:

“This is more than just an edifice; it’s an ecosystem for creativity, innovation, and economic transformation. Our goal is to see 10,000 new jobs emerge from this hub in the coming years.”

Governor AbdulRazaq, represented by Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. Mary Ayinde, reaffirmed the state’s commitment to tech-driven progress, emphasizing connectivity and innovation as key pillars for economic development.

With mentorship programs, accelerator initiatives, and funding opportunities, the Ilorin Innovation Hub is set to transform Kwara into a leading digital economy hub, aligning with President Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’.

This initiative marks a new era of technological growth, job creation, and economic empowerment for Kwara and Nigeria at large.
