The Kwara State Hospital Management Board (KW-HMB) has expressed gratitude to pharmaceutical suppliers for their consistent delivery of medications under the Essential Drug Project (EDP), a vital initiative to ensure uninterrupted access to essential drugs across state hospitals.

During a strategic engagement meeting in Ilorin, Executive Secretary Dr. Abdulraheem Malik praised the suppliers’ professionalism, emphasizing the board’s commitment to prompt payments and seamless processes. He urged suppliers to consider offering price flexibility to enhance distribution speed and reduce patient costs.

Project Manager, Pharm. Lovett Oladele, acknowledged the pharmaceutical companies’ strategic role in the state’s healthcare delivery, while Dr. Femi Joseph, Director of Medical Services, stressed the importance of collaboration with frontline healthcare workers. Two companies—Fidson Healthcare and Madison Healthcare—were presented awards for their outstanding contributions and corporate social responsibility efforts.
