The Kwara State Government, under the visionary leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, has officially launched the 2025 Kwara Coding and Digital Literacy Program, an ambitious initiative aimed at equipping young people with critical digital skills.

Building on the success of the 2024 Summer Coding Program, which trained students in Project Building, Python, Web Development, and Innovative Thinking, this year’s program is expanding its reach to 50 public secondary schools, benefiting over 7,500 students across the state.

The phased implementation will begin in Kwara Central Senatorial District, followed by Kwara South and Kwara North. The initiative aligns with the Governor’s vision of a technologically advanced and economically competitive Kwara, where youth are empowered for the digital economy.

By bridging the digital divide, the program will provide foundational coding skills that enhance students’ career prospects in software development, artificial intelligence, and innovation-driven industries.

Governor AbdulRazaq’s commitment to digital transformation continues to place Kwara State at the forefront of ICT development in Nigeria, ensuring that the next generation is prepared for the future of work.
