Lagos Christian Pilgrims Board Deepens Grassroots Collaboration for Inclusive Pilgrimage Awareness
The Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board (CPWB) has stepped up efforts to enhance public awareness and participation in pilgrimage programmes through a strategic engagement with the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs, and Rural Development. This initiative is part of a broader commitment to foster spiritual development and inter-agency collaboration.
Leading the delegation, Dr. Gbolabo Okudero, Secretary of the Board, sought direct access to Local Government and LCDA Chairmen through their monthly coordination meetings. He also proposed sensitisation sessions for ministry staff, noting that informed public servants can become catalysts for broader community participation.
In her response, the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, welcomed the partnership and pledged support across all jurisdictions under the Ministry’s purview. She affirmed that the collaboration aligns with the Lagos State Government’s holistic approach to governance—one that integrates spiritual upliftment with grassroots engagement and public service delivery.
