Lagos First Lady and Orunsi Foundation Bring Pediatric Surgical Aid to Gbajabiamila Hospital

Demonstrating compassion-driven leadership, the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, in partnership with Orunsi Welcare Foundation, visited Femi Gbajabiamila General Hospital in Surulere to deliver paediatric surgery support and recovery materials to children from indigent families.
Dr. Sanwo-Olu praised the Foundation for its unwavering commitment to vulnerable groups, noting that her office collaborates with stakeholders who prioritize community care. She reiterated the value of the Senior Citizens Visitation Programme—an ongoing outreach initiative from her office that delivers support and dignity to the elderly across Lagos.
Commending the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for championing inclusive care programmes, Dr. Sanwo-Olu encouraged civil society, religious bodies, and corporate organisations to join hands in building a Lagos where no child is denied care due to financial hardship. Hospital authorities led by Dr. Olumide Sojinrin, expressed appreciation for the surprise visit, which they described as a timely lifeline for many families.
