Lagos Health District IV Extends Free Medical Outreach to Villages
In a bid to expand access to healthcare, Lagos Health District IV has taken its free medical outreach program to Sogunro village and surrounding communities in Aderupoko Ward, Yaba Local Council Development Area.
Permanent Secretary of Health District IV, Dr. Abimbola Bowale, reaffirmed Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to an inclusive healthcare system, ensuring that no resident is left behind, regardless of economic or social status.
The outreach program, coordinated by Dr. (Mrs.) Oludolapo Sotunde, Director of Medical Services and Disease Control, focused on:
• Immunization services
• Counseling sessions
• Family planning consultations
• Blood pressure and general health checks
The initiative aligns with the T.H.E.M.E.S Plus Agenda, reinforcing Lagos State’s commitment to universal healthcare coverage.
The outreach recorded a massive turnout, with residents expressing gratitude for the timely intervention, which is expected to curb disease outbreaks and improve public health outcomes.
