The Office of Transformation, Creativity, and Innovation (OTCI) has successfully mediated and resolved the longstanding overlap of responsibilities between the Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development (MWID) and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) concerning dredging and mining operations in Lagos State.

During a strategic stakeholder engagement held in Alausa, OTCI Director-General, Mrs. Toyin Anjous-Ademuyiwa, emphasized the need for a clearly defined mandate to promote effective governance and prevent inter-agency conflict. She stressed that mandate delineation will improve coordination, reduce operational friction, and enhance service delivery across both ministries.

Key resolutions include establishing boundary limitations for each ministry and coordinating dredging activities under OTCI supervision. The agreed framework will ensure compliance, foster accountability, and enable the seamless execution of duties. Anjous-Ademuyiwa hailed the development as a major step toward streamlined governance and reiterated OTCI’s dedication to ensuring sustainable policy reforms that advance Lagos State’s developmental agenda.
