Lagos State Engages Ojota Residents on Land Regularization for Secure Property Ownership

The Lagos State Lands Bureau has intensified efforts to educate and assist residents of Ojota in securing proper documentation and titles for their properties through the land regularization initiative.
During a community engagement session in Ogudu Orioke, Ojota, Permanent Secretary of the Lands Bureau, Mr. Kamar Olowoshago, emphasized the importance of formal land ownership, stating that the Sanwo-Olu administration is committed to transparency, accessibility, and efficiency in land administration.
“Our goal is to ensure residents fully understand the land regularization process and take advantage of the opportunities provided by the state government to obtain legitimate land titles. The digitization of land records is a major step towards streamlining and securing land ownership in Lagos,” Olowoshago stated.
The event, led by Director of Land Regularization, Esv. Olayinka Wasiu, alongside Esv. Kayode Bombata and Esv. Hakeem Bakare, provided residents with insights into the state’s ongoing efforts to digitize and archive land records, making the process seamless and transparent. Residents were encouraged to participate in the initiative, ensuring compliance with land regulations and contributing to Lagos’ urban development goals. The Lagos State Government reaffirmed its commitment to simplifying property ownership, offering a more structured and secure framework for landowners across the state.
