Lagos State Government to Reposition Valuation Office for Enhanced Service Delivery

The Lagos State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to repositioning the Lagos State Valuation Office (LASVO) for efficient service delivery, aligning with the T.H.E.M.E.S Plus Agenda to transform Lagos into a 21st-century economy.

At a two-day retreat organized for LASVO staff and stakeholders, Head of Service, Mr. Olabode Agoro, commended the Director of LASVO for his leadership and emphasized the importance of synergy in achieving optimal efficiency.

Representing the Head of Service, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government Service Commission, Mrs. Abosede George, stressed the critical role of LASVO in asset valuation, property assessment, and economic planning.

Key announcements at the retreat included:

• Introduction of Radio Frequency Identification and Autophoto Technology to improve land use policy and revenue generation.

• Collaboration between LASVO, the Lands Bureau, and other agencies to streamline valuation processes.

Director of LASVO, ESV. Adekunle Awolaja, urged participants to update their knowledge and embrace new technologies, ensuring that the office continues to drive economic development in Lagos State.

The retreat featured insights from key government officials and experts, reinforcing the state’s plan to modernize valuation systems and boost revenue generation.
