LASG Engages Lekki Economic Zone Stakeholders for Accelerated Growth

The Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade, and Investment (MCCTI), has formalized a strategic partnership with key stakeholders in the Lekki Economic Zone to accelerate investment and infrastructure development.
At a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony in Alausa, agreements were sealed between:
• Lekki Worldwide Investment Limited (LWIL)
• Lekki Free Zone Development Company (LFZDC)
• Dangote Enterprise Zone
• Alaro City
• Lekki Ports
Speaking at the event, Commissioner for Commerce, Folashade Ambrose, described the partnership as a major milestone in transforming Lekki into a global industrial hub, with a focus on:
• Manufacturing and trade expansion
• Infrastructure development and urban planning
• Job creation and foreign investment
“This initiative will create a conducive business environment, drive industrial growth, and ensure that Lekki remains the heart of Nigeria’s economic transformation,” she stated.
Managing Director of Lekki Worldwide Investment Limited, Adeniyi Akinlusi, emphasized that collaboration among stakeholders will fast-track development, while CEO of Lagos Free Zone, Adesuwa Ladoja, described the initiative as a game-changer for investment in the region.
The MoU signals a new phase of economic acceleration, reinforcing Governor Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to positioning Lagos as Africa’s premier investment destination.
