Ogun IPAC Unveils ‘Democracy House’ Secretariat with Governor Abiodun’s Support
The Ogun State chapter of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has inaugurated its ultramodern state secretariat, ‘Democracy House’, in Abeokuta, with the backing of Governor Dapo Abiodun.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony in Ijemo, Abeokuta, Governor Abiodun, represented by Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ganiu Hamzat, urged IPAC to remain at the forefront of promoting good governance and political stability.
“IPAC must stay committed to its ideals—championing democratic values, fostering political unity, and enhancing electoral integrity for a stronger democracy,” he emphasized.
The Ogun State Chairman of IPAC, Abayomi Sanyaolu, described the new secretariat as a testament to Governor Abiodun’s commitment to fostering a more inclusive and progressive political environment.
Sanyaolu praised the Governor for prioritizing good governance and service delivery, pledging IPAC’s continued support for his administration’s developmental strides. He also appealed for:
• A dedicated vehicle for IPAC’s mobility.
• Employment opportunities for its members in the newly opened Gateway International Airport, Ilisan-Remo.
In his remarks, National IPAC President, Yusuf Dantalle, commended the Ogun IPAC leadership for delivering a magnificent structure, urging political parties to remain committed to democratic ideals.
“IPAC does not endorse any party or candidate; rather, it serves as an umbrella for all registered political parties to uphold democratic values and due process,” he noted.
