Ogun State Government Reaffirms Commitment to Expanding Access to Quality Education
The Ogun State Government has reiterated its unwavering commitment to improving access to quality education at all levels, ensuring that students across the state benefit from a robust and innovative learning environment.
Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun made this declaration at the 34th Convocation Ceremony for the Conferment of Honorary Degrees, Award of Higher Degrees, and Diplomas of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, on Friday. Represented by his Deputy, Engineer Noimot Salako-Oyedele, the governor emphasized that his administration remains dedicated to making Ogun State a hub of academic excellence and innovation.
Describing Olabisi Onabanjo University as a prestigious citadel of learning and a training ground for future leaders, Governor Abiodun lauded the institution for its contributions to producing brilliant graduates who are playing vital roles in Nigeria’s transformation.
“Our vision is to create and sustain an enabling environment that fosters academic excellence, research, and innovation at all levels of education. We are determined to continue investing in infrastructure, technology, and human resources to ensure that our students receive the best possible education,” the governor stated.
Governor Abiodun reaffirmed his administration’s pledge to support tertiary institutions and urged students to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the government to achieve academic and professional success.
