Okigwe Stakeholders Unite in Support of Governor Uzodimma’s Transformational Leadership

Governor Hope Uzodimma’s administration has received high praise for its remarkable infrastructural developmentacross Imo State’s 27 Local Government Areas, with special emphasis on the Okigwe Zone.
Speaking at the Okigwe Stakeholders Meeting, held at Chief Tony Chukwu’s Country Home in Umueze 1, Ehime Mbano LGA, former Secretary to the Government of Imo State (SSG), Chief Chris Okewulonu, extolled Governor Uzodimma’s visionary leadership. He emphasized that Okigwe Zone has witnessed unprecedented progress, particularly in the area of infrastructural development.
Chief Okewulonu, a seasoned administrator, highlighted that his decision to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) was inspired by the Governor’s impressive performance over the past five years. He urged the people of Okigwe Zone to continue supporting Governor Uzodimma to attract further development to their region.
The convener of the meeting, Secretary to the Government of Imo State (SGI), Chief Cosmos Iwu, clarified that the meeting was not political but a forum for stakeholders across Okigwe Zone to foster unity and progress. He emphasized that Okigwe has significantly benefited from the Governor’s leadership and should remain steadfast in supporting his administration.
Among those who commended the Governor and reaffirmed their commitment to his administration were Senator Patrick Ndubueze (Okigwe Zone), Hon. Chike Okafor (Okigwe South Federal Constituency), Hon. Miriam Onuoha (Okigwe North Federal Constituency), Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chike Olemgbe, and Prof. Nnamdi Obialeri.
Adding their voices, HRM Eze Oliver Ohanwe, a frontline traditional ruler, and Bishop Godson Ukanwa of the Anglican Diocese of Isi Mbano, lauded Governor Uzodimma’s contributions and called on Okigwe people to remain united in advocating for their collective interests in the state.
The stakeholders’ meeting, which attracted political leaders, religious figures, traditional rulers, business executives, and community leaders from the six LGAs of Okigwe Zone, culminated in a unanimous vote of confidence passed in favor of Governor Hope Uzodimma for developing Okigwe beyond expectations.
