Public Servants Urged to Embrace Excellence and Innovation for Better Service Delivery
Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, has called on public servants to embrace innovation, efficiency, and a strong work ethic to enhance service delivery and governance in Lagos State.
Speaking at the Annual Staff Retreat of the Office of the Deputy Governor, themed “The Role of Employees in the Turnaround Process of 21st-Century Public Services”, Dr. Hamzat emphasized that every officer, regardless of rank, must contribute meaningfully to state development.
“If each person carries out their role diligently, the entire nation will prosper,” he stated, urging civil servants to act with integrity, respect, and professionalism.
Highlighting the rapid advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies, he encouraged public officers to upgrade their skills and embrace digital transformation to remain relevant in the evolving governance landscape.
The Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Mobolaji Daba, commended the retreat as an opportunity for staff to share experiences, acquire new knowledge, and enhance service delivery in alignment with the vision of #Greater Lagos.
