Sanwo-Olu Approves Allowances for Nigeria Legionnaires and NSCDC Personnel
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has approved the engagement and payment of allowances to 1,356 Nigeria Legionnaires and personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC). This move aims to bolster security across the state, particularly in response to the increased demands for security personnel in various sectors, including schools and newly created health districts.
So far, approximately 115 Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) have been included in this initiative, reflecting the government’s commitment to enhancing security and supporting the welfare of its security personnel. The expansion of the scope and capacity of security personnel is under active consideration to address the growing needs of the state.
Governor Sanwo-Olu’s approval underscores his administration’s dedication to ensuring the safety and security of Lagos residents, as well as the support and recognition of the vital roles played by the Nigeria Legionnaires and NSCDC personnel in maintaining public safety.
