SBMC Honors Education Secretary for Transformative Contributions in Nguru LGA, Yobe State

The School-Based Management Committee (SBMC) of Tsohon Nguru Community in Nguru Local Government Area, Yobe State, has honored Education Secretary, Mallam Hamisu Ado, for his exceptional contributions to education reform in the region.
The award presentation, held at the Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) Secretariat, was attended by key community leaders, including:
• Alhaji Mustapha Maina Laminu, SBMC Chairman, Nguru Local Government
• Alhaji Mustapha Dabuwa, Chairman, Ngelewa SBMC Chapter
• Alhaji Baba Kadai Kafinta, Secretary, Ngelewa SBMC
Speaking on behalf of the SBMC, Alhaji Mustapha Maina Laminu praised Ado’s dedication and unwavering commitment to improving the quality of education in Nguru.
“Your contributions to the education sector go beyond what this award represents. It is our way of showing appreciation for your outstanding leadership and commitment to revitalizing our schools,” Laminu stated.
He added that the Award of Excellence is a recognition of Ado’s tireless efforts to enhance learning outcomes and ensure better educational opportunities for children in the region.
Ado Attributes Success to Stakeholder Collaboration
In his response, Mallam Hamisu Ado expressed gratitude to Allah and thanked the Yobe State Government, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, and the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) for their support and collaboration.
“The achievements recorded so far are a result of the collective efforts of government agencies, international non-governmental organizations (INGOs), and other key stakeholders,” he noted.
Under Ado’s leadership, the Nguru LGA education sector has witnessed significant improvements, including:
• Increased school enrollment and retention rates
• Improved teacher training programs
• Enhanced school infrastructure development
He reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining educational progress in the region, urging continued cooperation among community leaders, parents, and educators to build a stronger education system in Yobe State.
