Sokoto Commissioner Highlights Governor Aliyu’s Achievements on Live Program
Hon. Barr. Nasiru Aliyu Dan Tsoho, Commissioner for Lands, Housing, Survey, and Town Planning in Sokoto State, recently showcased the impressive infrastructure and urban development strides of Governor Dr. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto on the popular live phone-in program Sakkwatawa Kwallahiya.
The Commissioner outlined major road and urban renewal projects, including:
• The Tudun Wada roads network
• The Mabera roads network
• The Girabshi to Kalambaina road
• New roundabout projects on Sama Road, Agie Road, and Kara near Pepsi Cola
• Developments in Sokoto New City plots
Additionally, Barr. Dan Tsoho clarified concerns surrounding demolitions, explaining that no structures were forcibly demolished. Instead, affected residents voluntarily removed their buildings after receiving fair compensation, allowing contractors to access designated sites for the projects. He reassured the public that no one had been denied compensation, and even those whose buildings were on government property were compensated in the spirit of fairness and inclusivity.
The program, moderated by Muhammad Nasir Sokoto of Vision FM Sokoto, provided an opportunity for the public to gain insight into the government’s transparent approach to development, ensuring that progress is made while safeguarding the interests of Sokoto citizens.
