The Sokoto State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to timely project execution, warning that it will no longer tolerate delays caused by non-cooperative property owners.

Commissioner for Lands, Housing, Survey, and Town Planning, Barrister Dantsoho, made this declaration during an inspection of the Eight Network Roads Project in J Allen area, emphasizing that development efforts must not be hindered by resistance to government-approved construction plans.

He stated that the state government prioritizes urban development and infrastructure expansion, but the progress of projects relies on property owners’ willingness to comply with necessary regulations, including relocation where required.

“The government will not allow unnecessary delays in development projects,” Barrister Dantsoho affirmed. “Property owners must cooperate to ensure smooth and timely execution of these projects, which are designed to enhance the lives of our citizens.”

He urged residents to support the administration’s urban renewal efforts, noting that infrastructure expansion is crucial for economic growth, ease of transportation, and overall modernization of the state.

During the visit, Barrister Dantsoho was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Engr. Ahmad Moyi, Surveyor General, Abdulrahman Bello, and other senior officials, underscoring the government’s collective effort to ensure that Sokoto’s infrastructural agenda remains on track.
